The festival “Fanicon Awards 2023,” which conveys proposed to Fanicon's icons and fans and conveys to the world the state of the new era of fan communities, was held for the first time this year.

Actor Watanabe Miriai's community “ARIMI” was selected for the Rookie of the Year Award from around 2,400 communities.

Mr. Watanabe, a former member of Nogizaka46 and currently showing success on stage and in dramas, is developing various projects online and offline within a short period of 1 year Since then.

This time, we asked her, who has had many fans with her diverse projects, about her tips for deepening relationships with fans online.

“Feel free to send messages at a reasonable frequency” is the key to continuity

――You are also using SNS, but please tell us what led you to start a fan community.

When I quit being an idol, I thought, “It's sad that I'll never be able to meet fans like this again.”

So I started Fanicon because I wanted a community where I could interact with fans.

――On Fanicon, live streaming is being carried out.

There are a lot of fans. Being able to broadcast as soon as I think of it, and being able to say what I want to say is a big part of me.

Also, unlike handshake events, the number of seconds isn't fixed, so I like the fact that we can communicate to our heart's content.

――How much preparation has been done before distribution?

I haven't done it at all (done). I'm talking about what I came up with on the spot.

Since it's a live stream, I'm surprised about things like “be surprised with the wording” and “not showing the names of my friends,” but I try to show the original part as much as possible Without making too many Repairs.

――How are delivery announcements made?

There are many guerrilla-like predictions, but there are also cases where announcements are made in advance and distributed.

If you broadcast like a guerrilla every time, fans who say “I can't always watch it at work” will come up, right?

Somehow, so that various fans can see it, they also ask the time in advance about what time would be good and broadcast it at that time.

――I think online questions often come asked from fans. Is there anything you keep in mind when replying to fans?

I'm conscious of not giving back too much and not returning too much.

People who come to see it for the first time may be considered if there is no reaction (from here), so they are involved. Conversely, they don't return them so polite to regular customers.

I think if we get too close to our fans, we'll lose respect for each other. So, for private information in particular, I set my own standards of “not considering this out” and “not considering this out,” and I'm considering for a relationship where I'm not too attached.

――I think some fans feel “asking questions or making statements.” Do you have any conscious communication with people like that?

We Are Always Calling for “Please Say Things That Are Heard to Hear Here in Person.”

I THINK MOST PEOPLE WHO CAN'T SPEAK UP ARE BECAUSE EVERYONE IS WATCHING. Confused, if you guide them to a place where they can interact, they will often be happy.

――It is said that it is important to continue sending messages to fans, but is there anything you are interested about in order to continue?

“Don't Overdo It” is Believing the Secret. I'm the type that doesn't care much about fans, and my stance is to get them to come about what I want to do.

They are doing what they want to do with the satisfaction of all the fans, so I think they have been able to continue at a high frequency.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to send a stress-free message without binding yourself to “I should make this kind of transmission because it's 00.”

Put current fans like family first

――Is there anything you can do to get new people to join the fan community?

I think there are ways to advertise on SNS, but to be honest, I'm not really good at SNS. There are times when I think “I wonder if it would have been better not to say this” on SNS, and since I'm not a person who takes selfies, I also have to think about what to post.

So instead, people they meet at events are often often repeated.

Rather than politely “Please Come in If You Like” on SNS, “Hey, if you come to the event, go in!” It's more important to my personality if I say it jokingly.

――While the use of SNS is being called out, on the discussion, “the number of fans through the field” is.

Strongly, I didn't want to make the fan community very big.

Of course, there is also a feeling that I want more new people, but more than that, I want to put my current fans as important as my family first.

――I feel that Watanabe's community management makes use of his personality. Is there anything you keep in mind so that fans can get used to your current communication style and image?

I try to show my true personality right from the start. Strictly, I have a personality that clearly distinguishes what I think. That's why I treat my fans with the same personality.

Since it's just the way it is from the beginning, there's no misunderstanding that it's different from the image, so they follow me quite a bit after that.

In particular, I try to let people know me when we meet in person at events etc.

――In the future, how would you like to nurture the community together with your fans?

I want to make it a place of relaxation where I can spit out things I can't say to other people.

I want to make it a community where even shy people can get into a circle and be close to each other.

――Thank you so much for today!
